He is survived by: his wife Lola Thompson; his children, Phil (Glenda Thompson), Garry (Susan Thompson) and Libbie; his son-in-law Rodney Israel of Huntsville; and his siblings, John (Mary Kay Thompson), Frank (Thelma Thompson) and Wilma Ledbetter of Huntsville. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
