He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Wayne Heffner and Mabel Irene Heffner (Hagen); his wife Doris Fay Heffner; and his brothers, Herbert and Wilmer Heffner.

He is survived by: his brother Clifford Heffner of Amarillo, Texas; his nephew Roger Heffner; and his niece Joanna Reed of California.
