He was predeceased by: his son David Carlton. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Carlton; his children, Debra, Stephen and Jeffrey Carlton; and his grandchildren, Rebecca Purser, Cody Carlton and Meghen McDonald. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
