He was predeceased by: his parents, Burna Jo Simpson Hooper and Alvin Hooper; and his brother Charles Hooper. He is survived by: his sons, Matthew Hooper of Huntsville and James Hooper of Huntsville; his grandchildren, Russel Hooper and Daniell Hooper; his siblings, Lynn (James Gibson), Donna Phillips of Springdale and Chris; and his sister-in-law Julie Hooper of Huntsville. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
