He is survived by: his pet Chester; his children, Timothy Herring of Stuttgart, Chance Hildebrand (Bethany) of Humnoke, Karrie Hamilton of Humphrey, LeAnn Brazeal (Clay) and Shawn Carter (Bob) of Humnoke; his siblings, Lester Herring of Humphrey, Mike Herring of Little Rock, Chris Herring of Texas, Jerry Herring (Janet) of England, Pat Meins of Stuttgart and Paula Martin (Guy) of Coy; his grandchildren, Kelsie King (Jonathan), Natalie Donahue, Presley Donahue (Dalton), Dillon Hamilton, Chase Brazeal, Kimberly Davis (Jacob), Creed Carter, Holden Hildebrand and Hattie Jo Hildebrand; his great grandchildren, Emma Donahue, Gunnar Donahue, Hayesley Carter, Hardin Davis, Grady King and Morgan Hamilton; and his close friend Carl Hill.
