She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Moman Bates Jr. (Marlyn), Dennis Bates (Alice), Terry Bates (Rebecca), Debbie Garner (Jim), Pam Jackson (Mike), Kim Hawthorn (Gary), Melody Green (Tommy) and Darah Hawthorn (Jared); her sister-in-law Silma Bates; her cousin Mattie Ballew; and her baby Izzy. She is also survived by 10 great nieces; 7 great nephews; 18 great great nieces, and 16 great great nephews.
