In loving memory of Michael Whatley (Hot Springs, Arkansas), born in Fort Knox, Kentucky, who departed this world on February 7, 2025 at the age of 63. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas Leslie Whatley and Pamala Moss Whatley; his siblings, Kevin Charles Whatley, Pauline Perkins and Paul Whatley; his son Michael Leslie Johnson; his wife Christi Whatley; his nieces and nephews, Lesley Younger, Paul Bland, Kevin Charles Whatley, Jr. (Michelle), Dana Hall (Dustin) and Jonee Whatley; his sister-in-law Clara Whatley-McGee; and also, Sophie, Luci of Jake, OB, Honey, Pumpkin, Lucky, Jeanette, Sam, George, Nero and Tiger.

Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Hot Springs (2350 Central Ave, Hot Springs, AR 71913). A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to CHI St. Vincent Foundation - Cancer Services or the American Cancer Society.

“My thoughts and prayers for you and your family for the loss of Michael. Michael was a very special person to me and the staff at Dr. Beck’s office. He will be missed, we really enjoyed his presence and the stories he told while at the clinic. He was one of a kind very special person that was always so kind and I am very appreciative for all his advice on my pets I was given. He will be greatly missed, he left this world way too soon., but only God knows when we go home to him. 🙏for you!”
