He is survived by: his children, Richard Cruz (Nita), Daniel Cruz, Joseph Cruz (Colleen), Mary Gold and Theresa Henson (John); and his siblings, Paul Cruz, Raymond Cruz (Karen), Manuel Cruz (Janet) and Jessie Petrovic. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
