With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Krista Lane Smith of Hot Springs, Arkansas, born in De Queen, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 23, 2025 at the age of 69. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mitchell Smith and Neldene Smith; and her stepsister Deborah Nevels. She is survived by: her siblings, Tami Smith of Hot Springs, AR, Anje Johnstone (Mike) of Old Monroe, MO and Mark Smith of Bella Vista, AR; her stepmother Judy Smith of De Queen, Arkansas; her stepsiblings, Richard Friday (Deborah) of Cabot, Arkansas and Brenda Leeper (Waylon) of Texarkana, AR; her nieces and nephews, Dustin Smith (Suzy), Megan McAfee (Blake), Mattison Smith (Sarah), Jessica Hackman (Andrew), Emilee Smith, Sarah Smith, Michael Johnstone, Anderson Johnstone (Jordyn), Brady Johnstone and Ella Johnstone; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Harper, Beau, Waverly, Foswhitt and William.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (1535 W Collin Raye Dr, De Queen, AR 71832). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
