He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Garner and Bertie Garner (Hefley); his siblings, Pete, Joe Bob Garner, Betty Adams and Joyce West; and his son Tommy Garner.

He is survived by: his wife Bonnie; his sons, Michael (Debbie) and Randy; his grandson Nicholas; and his sister-in-law Edna. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
