He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlin Harkrider and Orleene Harkrider; his siblings, Paul, Claude, Betty and Bonnie Jean; and his parents-in-law, Irvin and Rece Massey.

He is survived by: his wife Dian Massey; his sons, Todd (Lynn) of Madisonville and Chadd (Morgen) of Springfield, Missouri; his grandchildren, Kenzie Harkrider and Dustin Harkrider (Katie); his sons, Sydney Mulford (Jacob) and Shelby Harkrider; and his siblings, Maxine, Marilyn and Gerald. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
