He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Ross and Myrtle Louise Cox; and his stepson Elijah Loera. He is survived by: his cousins, Donna and Bonnie; his close friends, Mark Saliga, Shawn, Imelda, Shannon, Joe, Gordy, Rian and Camy; his wife Jana; his daughters, Courtney Cox (Sean) of Olympia, WA and Stephanie Tapia (Daniel) of Waxahachie, TX; his stepsons, Joshua Loera (Monica) of McKinney, TX and Abraham Loera (Amy) of Charles Town, WV.; his siblings, Sharon Thompson (Wayne) and Craig Cox; and his grandchildren, Katy Grace, Ashlyn, Owen, Izabella Grace, Izaiah, Charlie, Noah, Mia and Laith.
While living in Clarksburg, MD he became a faithful member of the FreeRider Motorcycle Club where he loved to ride for charity and was known by the name "Dallas".
