He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Pilz and Jane Pilz; his wife Vera May Pilz; and his brothers, Cyril Pilz and Dale Pilz.
He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, Marjorie Pilz of Hillsboro, Norma Donahoe of Hardy and Billy Chance of Normangee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
