Sandra Leah (Hope) Martz Obituary
Sandra Leah Hope Martz, of Fort Towson, Oklahoma, who was a wonderful mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully with family surrounding her, on June 6, 2023 in Hot Springs, Arkansas at the age of 79 years after her long battle with Alzheimer's. Sandra was the middle of four siblings. She was born to Stanley Rue Hope and Alice Irene Robinson on March 11, 1944 in Watervliet, Michigan.
Sandra was known for her loving kindness, her care and compassion for others, her funny and outgoing personality. She had a smile that lit up the room when she walked in. Sandra was an artist who loved to draw and had a special passion for watercolor painting. She was also an exceptional seamstress who loved to make clothing for her children. She also crocheted blankets for every one of her grandchildren. One of her greatest enjoyments was having family and friends gather at her lake house in Oklahoma. Sandra loved the Lord and sang in church chores with her sister in her younger years.
Sandra was predeceased by her husband, Jimmie Wayne Martz; parents, Stanley and Alice Hope; brother, Thomas Hope; sister, Susan Hope. She is survived by her daughter, Lisabeth Kellett (Brian) of Kaufman, Texas; son, David Gruszka (Alisha) of Hot Springs, Arkansas; son, Richard Gruskza of Hot Springs, Arkansas; stepdaugheter, Jamie (Shane) Reneau of Krum, Texas; sister, Tracy Bunn; stepsisters, Beverly Kucera; Patricia Caughlin; Alice Martin; Lynn Galusky and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A private and intimate Celebration of Life will be held July 8, 2023 at Sandra and Jim's beautiful lake house in Fort Towson, Oklahoma
