He is survived by: his wife Dianne Rankin Godfrey; his daughters, Carla Godfrey of California and Kimberly Davis (Todd) of Virginia; his grandchildren, Brittny Peoples, James Godfrey-Parker, Quinn Davis and Sloan Davis; and his nieces and nephews, Audrey Chatman (Lavon), Ramona Simpson, Lathiell Simpson, Sr. and Christopher Simpson. He is also survived by cousins and extended family members; more friends.
