It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Osborne Garland of Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas, born in Ruston, Louisiana, who passed away on March 7, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father John Osborne Garland (J. O.). He is survived by: his wife Jacquie Runyan Garland; his sons, Jim Garland (Marty) of Conway, Joel Garland (Jean) of Lillie and Jeff Garland (Kim) of Collierville, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Joshua Garland, Holly Nicholson (Aaron), Logan Garland (Morgan), Clark Garland (Megan), Emily Turner (Brad), Katie Cook (Marlon), Anna Garland, Reagan Garland and Miles Garland; and his brother Robert G. Garland (Barbara) of Springhill, Louisiana.. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren.
