She is survived by: her spouse Jerry Simpson; her children, Gene Thurmond (Tina) of Proctor and Pat Thurmond of West Memphis; her daughter-in-law Karen Thurmond of Atoka; her grandsons, Keith Thurmond of Marion, Bryce Thurmond (Nikki) of Atoka and Alex Thurmond of West Memphis; and her great grandchildren, Hayden Thurmond of Marion, Linsay, Alyssa, Kylee and Emmalynn Thurmond of Atoka, Tennessee..
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Fellowship Baptist Church.
