He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Sojourner and Mattie Lou Sojourner; his wife Helen Pannell Sojourner; his siblings, Rains Sojourner and Evelyn Sutton; and his children, Butch Sojourner and Beverly Blaylock.
He is survived by: his daughters, Barbara McGinnis and Evelyn Armstrong; and his brother Gordon Sojourner. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 21 great-great grandchildren.
