He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kenneth Ashford and Marion Wilma Ashford (Smith); and his brothers, Fred Alexander Ashford and William "Bill" Robert Ashford. He is survived by: his girlfriend Vesta Moore of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; his children, Steven John Ashford of Dayton, Albert Jackson Ashford of Franklin, Arkansas and Heather Marie Navarrete of Dayton, Ohio; and his brother James William Ashford of Detroit, Michigan.. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
