With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joe Sanders of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, born in Pensacola, Florida, who passed away on December 6, 2020. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sanders and Genevieve Nobles Sanders; his wife Jewell "Sissy" Sanders; his stepson Chris Vernon; his siblings, Wayne, Danny Sanders and Billie Brown; and his stepgrandson Tommy Warren.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Laurie, John Lasky of University Place, Lisa Bizzell of Braselton, Lynnette Fredricksen of Atlanta, Georgia, Catherine, Trace Fitzer of Graham, Diana Young of Buford, Patricia Meyer of Conway, Jeff and Melissa Vernon of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and his siblings, Tommy Sanders of Pensacola, Florida and Marie Pickering of Pensacola, Florida. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 4 step-great grandchildren; and two step-great-great grandchildren.
Following the State of Arkansas COVID-19 guidelines, no more than 50 people will be allowed to gather inside of Cobb Funeral Home and practice social distancing, keeping a 6-foot distance between one another Face masks are required to enter the building and to be worn at all times.
