He was predeceased by: his parents, Coy Ronald and Nora Jenkins Pogue; his wife Ruth Elizabeth Pogue; his brothers, Alfred Pogue, Jessie Pogue, Gerald Pogue, Tommy Pogue and Pat Pogue; and his great grandchild Kelly Blake Casteel.
He is survived by: his daughters, Linda (Darell Rankin), JoAnn (Paul Casteel) and Johnnie (Edward Williamson); his grandsons, Heath (Sharon Casteel), Derek (Crystal Rankin), Doug (Sarah Casteel), Darren (Shantae Rankin), Coy (Stacy Williamson) and Justin (Tara Williamson); his great grandchildren, Cassady, Sydney, Kinley, Chandler, Gavin, Sarah, Paige, Luke, Rykor and Emily; and his niece Judy Davis. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
