He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Banhart and Opalene Wheeles Banhart; and his siblings, Chris Banhart and DeNise Hubbard. He is survived by: his wife Lou Anna Banhart of Horatio; his sons, Blake Banhart and Grant Banhart (Haley Munn) of Horatio; his grandchildren, Aubrey Banhart, Graham Banhart and Bennett Banhart; his siblings, Kathryn Ament of Clear Lake, Texas and Greg; and his sister-in-law Cindy Banhart of Houston, Texas.
