She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Ross and Leo Marie King House; her husband Arthur Mitchell; her stepfather Ernest Flippo; and her siblings, Kenneth R. House, Opal Lewis and Jo Williamson.
She is survived by: her sons, Dennis (Gloria Mitchell) and Richard (Betty Mitchell); and her grandchildren, Denielle Contreras of Horatio, Adam Mitchell of Sylva, Aaron Mitchell of Sylva, Magan Mitchell of Dallas and Carrie Shrader of Texarkana. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
