She was predeceased by: her parents, Walker Chambless and Fannie Chambless (Schooley); her husband Leon Carruthers; and her siblings, Herbert Chambless and Mary Ruth Abbott.
She is survived by: her son Brent Carruthers of Hope; her sisters, Sammy Martin of Hope and Joan Stockton of Prescott; and her sister-in-law Ann Campbell of Laneburg.
