He was predeceased by: his brother Jorge Covas. He is survived by: his wife Eve Covas M. D.; his son Jose Covas III; his wife Schelley of Norphlet; his brother Luis Covas; his grandchildren, Caylie Lambert (Nick) of Norphlet, Javier Covas of Waco, Evan Covas of Norphlet, Josh Covas of Austin, Gavin Covas of Magnolia and Jacqueline Covas of Austin; his great grandchild AveryKate Lambert; and also, Joaquin Covas of Waco, Jaime Covas and Kristi of Viola.
