He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Herald "Pod" and Lenna Jones Porterfield; his wife Janis Porterfield; his children, Hayes Porterfield (Rachel Payson) of South Portland, ME and Brooke Welden (Ed Welden) of Birmingham, AL; his brother Jimmy Porterfield (Lavern Porterfield) of Hope, AR; and his grandchildren, Eileen Porterfield, Evan Porterfield, Mae Dowda and Olivia Dowda. He was also cherished by his children, grandchildren, family and friends.
