It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William DeForrest Howes of Holiday Island, Arkansas, born in Manhattan, Kansas, who passed away on June 6, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Howes and Mary Howes (Hungerford); his wife Nina Mae Howes (Smith); and his half-siblings, Theola Carey and Herbert Howes.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Howes (Jan) of Holiday Island, Richard Howes (Cheryl) of Lake Lotawana and Anita Fuller (Mike Loveall) of Independence; his grandchildren, Jim, Julie, Emily, Bobby, Sarah, Amber, Matthew and Jenny; his brother Terry Howes of Golden; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Holmes of Shawnee. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
