It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine Calloway Dees of Hermitage, Arkansas, born in Shreveport, Louisiana, who passed away on August 14, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Lee and Naughvelle Futch Calloway; and her siblings, Clarence Abner Calloway, Billy Ray Calloway, Huey Wayne Calloway, Chlorene Elver Calloway Jones, Sallie Thelma Calloway Ham, Allie Melba Calloway Cantley and Leola Calloway Burns.
She is survived by: her sons, David Allen Dees (Rhonda) of Hermitage, AR and Thomas Linwood Dees Jr. of Hermitage, AR; her siblings, Victor Lee Calloway of Boston, Mass., Sudie Vernessa Calloway Garner of Eldorado, AR, Martha Jean Calloway House of Huntsville, Ala and Joann Calloway Smiley of Shreveport, LA; her grandchildren, Brittany Renea Dees Leek (Derek) of Wilmar, AR and Lauren Ashley Dees Bryant (Corey) of Hampton, AR; and her great grandchildren, Brody Allen Bryant, Hadleigh Kate Bryant of Hampton, AR and Peyton Alan Leek of Wilmar, AR. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
