He was predeceased by: his parents, James P. Owings and Anita Owings (Harris); and his brother-in-law Paul R. Lindsey. He is survived by: his son Adam Owings of Jacksonville; and his siblings, Carolyn Scott Lindsey of White Hall and Clifton Scott (Georgeanne) of Camden. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
