He is survived by: his daughter Capricia Shorty; his granddaughter Paisly; and his siblings, Jimmy Newsome (Brenda), Samuel Thomas Jr., Cynthia Belin (Michael) and Michelle Thomas. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
