He was predeceased by: his wife Donna Dolan; his parents, Philip G Gates Jr. and Lois P Gates; and his brothers, Philip Gates III and Michael Gates.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rose Anne Cato (Brett) and Robin Ducatillon (Regis); his grandsons, Miles Ducatillon, Luc Ducatillon and Jac Ducatillon; and his sisters, Rose Roan and Ellen Massey. He is also survived by nieces & nephews.
