He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Luther Mims, Sr. and Evy Josephine Goodson; and his siblings, James Richard Mims and Virginia Mims. He is survived by: his children, Samuel L. Mims III of Helena, Arkansas and Jennifer McIntosh (Eric McIntosh) of Elkins, Arkansas; his siblings, Paul Mims (Roc San) of Sacramento, California, Linda Elwood (Lee) of Hermiston and Shirley Gonzalez (Adan) of Husum, Washington; his grandchildren, Tara Leann Lawson of West Helena, Erica McIntosh and Dalton Stickles of Elkins, Arkansas; and his great grandchild Braylon Lawson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
