He was predeceased by: his parents, Jewell Scheider and Henry Scheider; and his siblings, Earlene Scheider, Louis Scheider and George Henry Scheider.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Nell Johnson; his children, Gary Roy Scheider (Vicki) of Clinton, Mississippi and Rhonda Scheider St. Columbia (Joe) of Helena, Arkanas; his grandchildren, Lauren Smith (Zach), Adam Scheider (Elizabeth), Joseph St. Columbia and Amy Craft (Josh); his great grandchildren, Eli Scheider, Lathan Craft, Sam Smith and Avery Scheider; and his sisters, Janet "Cookie" Shaw (Charles) of Goodman and Kathryn Clark (Dwight) of Memphis, Tennessee. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
