She was predeceased by: her parents, Cletus Woody and Opal Woody (George C. Ward Jr.); and her brother Joe Garner. She is survived by: her husband George Ward, Jr.; her children, George C. Ward, III of Reno, Kerry P. Ward (Laura) of Lincoln, Arkansas and Melinda Szathnasy (Lazlo); and her sister Claudette Haynes (Willie) of Southbend, Indiana.. She is also survived by ten grandchildren.
