He was predeceased by: his parents, Patricia Louise Suggs Smith and Ollie Reese; his grandparents, Betty Jean Henry and Phillip Lane Suggs, Sr.; his brother Omar Phillip Smith; his uncle Phillip Lane Suggs, Sr.; and his aunts, Penny Lynn Suggs, Jacqueline Stanley-White, Faye Suggs and Wanda Suggs.
He is survived by: his stepfather Ray C. Smith, Sr.; his children, Kamelian Williams, Arveaun Thomas, Kaytreva Gamble, Eriyal Evans, Jordyn Gamble, Markel Geeter, Jr. and Ashaud Otey; his siblings, Ardis Reese, Larry Vineyard, Ray C. Smith, Jr., Marvin Johnson, Toryan Cooks, Yosia Suggs, Demana Smith, Khadya Smith, Angela Cook, Lola Larkin, Pamela Lockhart (Dewayne), Lilian Reese and Tammy Reese; his aunts and uncles, Michael Williams, Reggie Thomas, Marcus Smith, Maurice Suggs, Danny Suggs, Anthony Suggs, Kenny Suggs, James Reese, William Johnson, William White, Jr., Willie Franklin, Sr., Beatrice Suggs, Jeneva Star, Anita Browne and Gwendolyn Hunter; his close friend Carletta King; his aunts, Katie Hill and Lela Ray; and his cousins, Tyheed Stanley, Anthony Suggs, Jasmine Smith and Quiania Smith.
