With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bennette Johnson Morris (Helena, Arkansas), born in Little Rock, Arkansas, who passed away on July 17, 2020 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Parker Ewan Johnson, Sr. and Bennett Irene Johnson; her husband Walter Luther Morris of West Helena; her children, Margaret Bennett Morris Sellers (Paul), Mary "Gina" Morris of Virginia, Walter Luther Morris, Jr. (Jayne McCain) and Leonora Harriet Morris Maclay (Doug); her grandchildren, Callie Bennett Sellers Towles (Allen), Margaret Morris "Mollie" Sellers, Walter Luther Morris III (Elizabeth "Liz" Bernie), Mary McCain Morris Cole (Josh), Meredith Pointer Maclay McNeely (Justin), Claire Parkhill Maclay Auffenberg (Daniel) and Douglas Weller Maclay III; and her great grandchildren, Campbell William Towles, Caroline Bennett Towles, Lawson Allen Towles, Walter Luther Morris IV, Mae Louise Morris, Bennett Thomas Cole and Genevieve Ann McNeely.

Please know that Moma, Darlevia, myself and our entire family share in the loss of your Dear Mother and Grandmother. We had just funeralized my brother on July 10th and so our hearts were even heavier when we learned of Ms. Morris's passing.
