She was predeceased by: her parents, James Edgar and Effie Laura King Abston; her husband John Newport; her sons, Philip Newport and Daniel Newport; her siblings, Grace Stacks, Mattie Payne and Cleo Abston; and her great grandchild Shawna Clayton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Shirley (Bob Monticelli) and Debbie (Billy Joe Crouch); and her grandchildren, Pam Kelley, Tina Hollabaugh, John Newport, Jim Newport, Joe Newport, Paul Newport, Jeremy Newport, Reina Cudd, Seth Crouch and Chelsea Barnhouse. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
