He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucian Southerland and Estalee Martin Southerland; his wife Shirley Southerland; his siblings, Chester Southerland, Milburn Southerland, Loys Raney and Lorece Ezell Southerland; and his sister-in-law Sharon Phillips.
He is survived by: his sons, Bruce Southerland (Karen) of Ida and Donald Southerland of Ida; his sister Alma Cannon of Drasco; his pet Rex; and his grandchildren, Cody Southerland (Rachel), Corey Southerland (Tara) and Bailey Southerland (Tomika). He is also survived by eight great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
