He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Hicks Patchell and Thomas Earl Patchell; and his siblings, Nellie Louise Patchell, Mildred Elizabeth Love, Cecil Hicks Patchell, George Winford Patchell, Earl Leon Patchell and Oscar Odell Patchell.
He is survived by: his son Douglas Neal Patchell (Allison); and his granddaughter Cara Elizabeth Tharp (Chance).
