He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Arthur Avery, Sr. and Ruby Moody Avery; and his son Caleb Avery. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Hutto Avery of Heber Springs; his children, Stephanie Kacperski (Joseph) and Bogan Avery (Raleigh) of South Carolina; his stepdaughter Tori Greene (Jason) of Tumbling Shoals; his brother Jeff Avery (Sayuri) of Hawaii; his mother-in-law Annie Cupit of Heber Springs; and his grandchildren, Corbin Kacperski, Charlie Kacperski, Megan Avery, Belle Avery, Jane and Mason Greene (Colby Greene).
