He was predeceased by: his parents, Warneke T. Johnson and Ruby M. Frederickson Johnson; and his son Clinton Pannell. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Butler Johnson; his children, Frederick Johnson of Heber Springs, AR and Ashley Routh (Robert) of Melbourne, FL; and his sister Sharon Cobb (Harold) of Tomball, TX. He is also survived by six grandchildren and many friends.
