He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Quandt and Alice Davis Quandt; his son Mark Herring; and his sister Janette Underwood. He is survived by: his wife Julia Cloud Quandt; his children, Randy Quandt (Alexis) of Cabot, James Herring of Casscoe, Arkansas, Lisa Evans (Debbie) of Hot Springs and Lori Cox (Michael) of Fort Hood, Texas; and his brother Teddy Quandt (Joyce) of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He is also survived by Eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many other extended family members and friends.
