He was predeceased by: his parents, Luda Solomon and Elsie Rosemond Landrum (Dora Venea Landrum); his sons, Elston Luby Landrum and Samuel Lawrence Landrum; and his siblings, Luther Samuel, Frank James Landrum and Mary Green.

He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Elizabeth Ann Landrum; his grandchildren, Sherri Venea Newcomb and Joseph Luby Landrum (Tracy); his great grandchildren, Julia Lauren Dailey (Chris), Alison Lee Landrum and Michael Warren Newcomb Jr.; and also Sharyl Ann Landrum (Daniel). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
