She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Watson and Mary Watson. She is survived by: her husband O. Norris Avey; her daughter Deborah Nelson (David Nelson); her granddaughter Brittany Lyles; and her grandson-in-law Ed. She is also survived by her five great-grandchildren.
