He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Altom and Mary Ann Walker Altom; his former wives, Mae Altom and Janice Altom; and his brother Dean Altom.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Altom; his children, Robert John Cook (Gail), Daniel James Cook, Carolyn Maire Stansbury, David Paul Cook (Lisa), Kathryn Joan Shelton (Tim), Sharon Alice Westerman (Larry), Patricia Whitcher (Russell), Joseph Wood (Tammy), Dale Altom (Judy) and Andrew Altom (Myra); and his siblings, Mary Lee Allen (Tom), Deborah Haun (Stan) and Bobby Altom (Martha). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
