He was predeceased by: his former wife Lorraine Powers; his parents, Frank Powers and Katherine Powers; his brothers, Raymond and Frederick; and his son-in-law John Cook.
He is survived by: his children, Anne Altepeter (Terry), Frank Powers, Susan Cook and Lorraine Fulton (Rob); and his sisters, Dolores Grow, Kathryn Leeds and Rosemarie Becker. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
His family suggests memorial donations to the local Humane Society.
