She was predeceased by: her parents, Loran Duke and Irene Beardsley Duke; her husband Merlin Smith; her son John Merlin Smith of Heber Springs; and her sister Neva Coppic.
She is survived by: her daughters, Willetta Rush (Walter) of Heber Springs, Teresa Laurent (Shawn) of Des Moines, Mary Smith of Heber Springs and Tina Collins (Roger) of Newton, Iowa; and her sister Jaxene Jarvis of Iowa. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and extended family.
