With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carmelita Irene Nelson in Heber Springs, Arkansas, born in Sayre, Oklahoma, who passed away on September 17, 2020 at the age of 88. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Elsworth Fish and Velma Mae Ratliff Fish; her husband Wayne Nelson; her son Joel Wayne Nelson; her son-in-law Charlie Miller; and her sister Eva Mae Fish.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Lee Miller of Drasco, Lora Lynn Awbrey of Tumbling Shoals and Michael David Nelson of Tumbling Shoals; and her grandchildren, Jeff Awbrey (Monica), Stacy Lewis, Shannon Taylor (Rodney), Danny Miller (Crystal), Anita Maples (Todd), Amy Hipp, Joshua Miller (Katie), Cody Nelson and Tera Swofford (Nathan). She is also survived by 28 great grandchildren other relatives and many friends.
