He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Thirl and Mildred Gearldene Smith (Sharp); his wife Patricia Lynn Smith; his daughter Debora Ann Roberts; and his sister Annia Dell Knatcal.
He is survived by: his children, Leslie Smith (April) of Heber Springs and Cheryl Lewis (Chuck) of Batesville; his grandchildren, Brittany Smith of Cabot, Cory Smith of Cabot, Ian Roberts (Bo) of Sparks and Kira Cross (Charlie) of Ignacio, Colorado; his great grandchildren, Aiden Tyler Smith, Lilli Smith, Elyse Roberts, Austin Roberts and Hunter Cross; and his great-niece Alice Stanley. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, and family members.
