With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Garnett Eugene Dodson (Hazen, Arkansas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 7, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kavanaugh Dodson and Vannoy Dodson of DeValls Bluff, Arkansas.; and his brothers, Royal, Kavanaugh and Carl Raymond Dodson.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Chelsea Jo Hancock of Benton, Shelby Jo Hancock (Preston Clingmon), Tyler Maple (Matheus) of Evans, GA, Kyle Maple (Sarah Morgan) of Greenville, NC, Ryleigh Maple of Wye and Whitney Sayger of Biscoe; his sister Debbie Kearby of DeValls Bluff; his nephews, Kavan Dodson (Michelle), Keith Dodson (Lori), Kirk Dodson and Michael Kearby (Amanda); and also Oaklynn Clingmon.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (211 N Hazen Ave, Hazen, AR 72064). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church P. O. Box 712, Hazen, AR or the Pepper's Lake Cemetery of DeValls Bluff, Arkansas.
